তামিম ইকবালের হঠাৎ করে অবসর নিয়েছেন এখবর শুনে সকলেই অবাক । বাংলাদেশের সাবেক অধিনায়ক
মাশরাফি বিন মুর্তজাও তার বাইরে নন। বিশ্বকাপের পূর্ব মূহুর্তে তামিমের অবসর খবর শুনে তিনি একটি
প্রশ্নও তুলেছেন, আসলেই কি তামিম আর চালিয়ে যেতে পারছিলেন না, নাকি কোনো চাপ তাঁকে অবসর
নিতে বাধ্য করেছে ! ফেসবুকে দেওয়া মাশরাফির স্ট্যাটাসের পুরোটাই এখানে তুলে ধরা হলো -

না? নাকি কোনো চাপ তোকে বাধ্য করেছে!
তোর অনেক ভক্ত হয়তো খুঁজে ফিরবে এই প্রশ্নগুলোর উত্তর। আজ খুঁজবে, এমনকি ভবিষ্যতও আরও অনেক
দিন খুঁজবে।
তোকে প্রথম দেখেছি চট্টগ্রামে তোদের বাসায়, হাফ প্যান্ট পরে খেলছিলি। তোর ভাই, আমার বন্ধু নাফিস
ইকবাল তোকে আমার সঙ্গে পরিচয় করিয়ে দিল। পরেরবার দেখলাম জাতীয় লিগে ওপেন করতে, খুলনার
মাঠে। তারপর ২০০৭ বিশ্বকাপ থেকে একসঙ্গে পথ চলতে চলতে তুই হয়ে গেলি বন্ধুর মতো। কত দিন,
কত রাত একসঙ্গে সময় কাটিয়েছি, একসঙ্গে খেতে যাওয়া, ঘণ্টার পর ঘণ্টা আড্ডা, দুষ্টুমি, মজা, তর্ক,
খেলা নিয়ে কত কত আলোচনা করেছি, সেসবের কোনো হদিস নেই।
যখন বাংলাদেশ ক্রিকেট দলের অধিনায়ক ছিলাম, তখন তুই ছিল আমার অন্যতম ‘স্নাইপার’। সেটা তুই
নিজেও খুব ভালো করেই জানিস। যেদিন দল থেকে বের হয়ে এলাম, সেদিন তুই আমাকে কাঁধে তুলে
নিয়েছিলি। পরে সারা রাত একসঙ্গে আড্ডা দিয়েছিলাম। যেকোনো সিরিজ বা সফরে তুই ছিলি আমার
রুমে আড্ডার অবধারিত সঙ্গী। আরও কতশত স্মৃতি এখন মনে পড়ছে!
তোকে যতটুকু চিনি, তাতে তোর এই সিদ্ধান্তকে আমি অনায়াসে পোস্টমর্টেম করতে পারতাম। কিন্তু তা
করব না, কারণ ওই যে তোর নিজস্ব সিদ্ধান্তকে অবশ্যই সম্মান জানানো উচিত।
তোর মানসিক অবস্থা আমি বুঝতে পারছি, সেই সঙ্গে এটাও বলছি যে তুই বাংলাদেশের ক্রিকেটকে যা
কিছু দিয়েছিস, তা আমরা আজীবন মনে রাখব। একজন তামিম হয়ে উঠতে কতটা পরিশ্রম, কতটা সময়,
কতটা মেধা আর কত ত্যাগ থাকতে হয়, তা সময় সব কিছু বুঝিয়ে দেবে।
তোর প্রতি রইল অফুরন্ত ভালোবাসা। পরবর্তী জীবন পরিবার নিয়ে দারুণ কাটাবি, সেই আশাই করছি।
আর একটা কথা, দলের ভেতর নানা পরিসংখ্যান নিয়ে বিশ্লেষণনির্ভর আলোচনা এখন কে করবে, ঠিক
জানি না। হয়তো কেউ করবে। তবে তুই এই জায়গায় সব সময়ই থাকবি সেরাদের সেরা।
