শিক্ষার্থী । গত রবিবার (২৫ জুন) দুপুরে পূর্বধলা চৌরাস্তায় ঘন্টাব্যাপী সড়ক অবরোধ করে প্রতীকি লাশ হয়ে,

টায়ার জ্বালিয়ে, এ কর্মসূচি পালন করে ।এ সময় রাস্তায় দীর্ঘ যানজটের সৃষ্টি হয়।

খবর পেয়ে নেত্রকোনা জেলার অতিরিক্ত পুলিশ সুপার শাহ্ শিবলী সাদিক, উপজেলা নির্বাহী অফিসার শেখ

জাহিদ প্রিন্স, পূর্বধলা থানার অফিসার ইনচার্জ (ওসি) মোহাম্মদ সাইফুল ইসলাম ঘটনাস্থলে উপস্থিত হন এবং

দাবি বাস্তবায়নে আশ্বাস দিলে আন্দোলন কারীরা তাদের আন্দোলন স্থগিত করে।

৯ দফা দাবিগুলোর মধ্যে - মহাসড়কে ডিভাইডার স্থাপন, ওভারলোডিং স্কেল চালুকরণ, ড্রাইভিং লাইসেন্সবিহীন

গাড়ি চালানো বন্ধ , থ্রী হুইলার নিষিদ্ধকরণ, নির্দিষ্ট দূরত্ব পর পর পুলিশ বক্স স্থাপন ও সার্বক্ষণিক তদারকি,

সকাল ৮টা হতে রাত ৮টা পর্যন্ত বালুবাহী ট্রাক চলাচল নিষিদ্ধকরণ, ভেজা বালুবাহির ট্রাক চলাচল নিষিদ্ধকরণ,

বালুবাহির ট্রাকে ত্রিপাল ব্যবহার নিশ্চিত করা ও নিয়মিত মোবাইল কোর্ট পরিচালনা করা।

In order to protest the constant road accidents around the slogan "We want safe roads", issuing

memorandums to implement 9-point demands and holding human chain programs.

In protest of the accident on the Shyamganj-Birishiri road, the agitators gave memorandums to

Upazila Nirbahi Officer Sheikh Zahid Prince, Purbadhala Thana Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad

Saiful Islam and held a human chain program with people and ordinary students from all parts of the

upazila. Last Sunday (June 25) at noon, they blocked the road for an hour at the Purwadhala

intersection and performed this program by burning tires and blocking the road.

On receiving the news, Additional Superintendent of Police Shah Shibli Sadiq, Upazila Nirbahi Officer

Sheikh Zahid Prince, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Purbadhala Police Station Mohammad Saiful Islam

arrived at the spot and the agitators suspended their agitation after they were assured to implement

their demands.

Abu Hanif Talukder Russel, Lecturer of Accountancy Department of Purbadhala Government College,

former student leader Shahidul Islam Angur spoke in solidarity with the program.

Among the 9-point demands - installation of dividers on highways, introduction of overloading scales,

ban on driving vehicles without driving license, ban on three-wheelers, installation of police boxes at

regular intervals and round-the-clock supervision, ban on plying of sand trucks from 8 am to 8 pm,

ban on plying of wet sand trucks. , Ensuring the use of tripals in sand trucks and conducting regular

mobile courts.

Arif, brother of the recently killed BKB student Rifat (Note: Fariduzzaman Rifat, a talented student of

Bangladesh Agricultural University, was crushed by a sand truck on his way home from CNG on

June 15). Secretary Saju Ahmed, Joint Convener of Upazila Chhatra Dal Solaiman Kabir Pappu,

Rajibul Islam Rajib of Conscious Citizen Society, etc. gave speeches.

In the speech, the same slogan came out in everyone's voice, "We want safe roads".
