জেএসসি ও জেডিসি পরীক্ষা আর হবে না। পাঠ্যসূচি একই থাকবে তবে শিক্ষাপ্রতিষ্ঠানগুলো বার্ষিক পরীক্ষা নেবে। এবং শিক্ষাপ্রতিষ্ঠান থেকেই সনদ দেওয়া হবে। শিক্ষা বোর্ড থেকে কোনো সনদ দেওয়া হবে না। তবে অষ্টম শ্রেণির শিক্ষার্থীদের নিবন্ধন (রেজিস্ট্রেশন) কার্যক্রম চালু থাকবে। শিক্ষামন্ত্রী দীপু মনির সভাপতিত্বে মঙ্গলবার রাজধানীর আন্তর্জাতিক মাতৃভাষা ইনস্টিটিউটে অনুষ্ঠিত এক সভায় এ সিদ্ধান্ত নেয়া হয়।
সভায় আরো সিদ্ধান্তে উপনীত হয়েছে যে চলতি বছরের মতো আগামী বছরে এইচএসসি ও সমমানের পরীক্ষাও হবে সংক্ষিপ্ত সিলেবাস অনুযায়ী । তবে আগামী বছরের এসএসসি পরীক্ষা বর্তমান সিলেবাস অনুযায়ী অনুষ্ঠিত হবে। ঢাকা মাধ্যমিক ও উচ্চমাধ্যমিক শিক্ষা বোর্ডের চেয়ারম্যান অধ্যাপক তপন কুমার সরকার বিভিন্ন সংবাদ মাধ্যমকে এ তথ্য জানিয়েছেন। তিনি বলেন, এ বছর যে সিলেবাসে পরীক্ষা হচ্ছে, আগামী বছরও সেই পাঠ্যসূচিতে এইচএসসি পরীক্ষা অনুষ্ঠিত হবে।

And the certificate will be given from the educational institution itself. No certificate will be issued from the Board of Education. However, the registration program of class VIII students will continue. The decision was taken at a meeting held at the International Mother Language Institute in the capital on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Education Minister Dipu Moni.
It was also decided in the meeting that HSC and equivalent exams will be held in the next year as per the short syllabus like this year. However, next year's SSC exam will be held according to the current syllabus. Dhaka Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Chairman Prof. Tapan Kumar Sarkar told various news media this information. He said that the HSC exam will be held on the same syllabus next year as well.
